Meeting the Interns

Last Monday at 8:00 am I walked into the rotunda of our east building hear at CCC headquarters. It was filled with the 30-some students who are participating in OSP. Not knowing any faces yet, I simply stood in the middle and announced, “I’m Andy Fish. Everyone who is working for me, come this way.” Eight of them emerged from the crowd and off we went.

What are they working on? The plan so far:

  • Some distance learning courses to help develop student leaders of local campus movements.
  • A marketing plan, promotional video, and spiritually themed content for StorySpot.com.
  • “Viral videos” to promote TangentJunkie.com. Have you ever gotten one of those funny videos people send around by email? We want to try using that idea to draw people to this site and, hopefully, lead them towards a relationship with God.
  • New content and a fresh design for TangentJunkie.com
  • And a few other smaller projects.

This last week we’ve been getting to know each other. It’s been fun
seeing the raw talent in each of them. We’ve gotten off to a great
start, and I’m increasingly confident that we’ll have a very productive and profitable summer. But most importantly, I hope each one will get a taste for what it’s like to use their unique skills to impact others for Christ.
